Beyond Meat Fools Carnivores on the Today Show!

Date: April 25, 2014 / By Nancy Olah

You know that I love the idea of fooling carnivores into thinking that they are eating meat – when they aren’t!  When I wrote Fool a Carnivore, Beyond Meat’s products weren’t available in our area.

Luckily, Whole Foods, Publix, and Earth Fare stock Beyond Meat’s chicken-free products, and I am hopeful that the new ground meat-free products will be available in my area soon.

Why do I love Beyond Meat Chicken-Free Strips?  They are vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, contain 20 grams of protein for a mere 120 calorie investment, and yes, they do taste like chicken!

If you’re on my mailing list, you’ve already received my free guide to The Good, the Bad, and the Not So Tasty, which praises Beyond Meat’s Chicken-Free Strips (the Grilled and the Southwest style are my family’s two favorites).

You’ve also probably already received at least one new recipe from me using Beyond Meat’s Southwest Style Chicken-Free Strips, and I’ve got many more in the works.

In fact, I’m in the process of re-making most of my chicken recipes from Fool a Carnivore using Beyond Meat’s three chicken-free products to see which is best for each recipe. Remember, I do all the testing, so that you don’t have to!   🙂

I’ve written and posted about Beyond Meat before, but It’s so nice seeing a great company begin to get the media recognition it deserves.  Please take a couple of minutes and watch the Today show clip!

And if you haven’t gotten my best and worst meat analogue report,  sign up for The Good, the Bad, and the Not So Tasty. Plus you’ll get some follow up recipes, new ones that aren’t yet published. Top right corner of this page 🙂
