I’ve been lazy about my posts because I’ve been outside gardening!
My first Herb Gardening Made Easy class was a big hit at the York Public Library on April 5th. People asked great questions and enjoyed taking home samples of my dried herbs, like rosemary, tarragon, oregano, and Bay leaves.
Don’t despair if you missed the class – I’m teaching another session on Saturday, April 26th from 2-3:30 pm at the Fort Mill Library, at 1818 2nd Baxter Crossing, in beautiful Fort Mill, South Carolina. The class is free, but you do need to register by calling the library at 803-547-4114.
Whether you are an experienced gardener or a newbie, you’ll learn how to plan your own outdoor herb garden. I’m all about organic gardening, so you’ll learn about the proper soil mix for raised beds, how to compost, my top ten culinary herbs, how to harvest, dry, and freeze herbs, and a whole lot more. Oh, and this time, I’ll teach you how to make my favorite pesto. I bring lots of live herbs in containers, so that you can learn by sight and smell how to recognize each different variety.
It’s a fun, fast-paced class, so I hope to see you there!
